Woongoolba is a rural locality, located in the City of Gold Coast, and electorally, in the State Electorate seat of Coomera and Federally, the Division of Fadden.

Surrounding Woongoolba are the suburbs of Alberton, Carbrook, Redland Bay, Gilberton, Steiglitz, Norwell and Jacobs Well. It is also positioned right beside the Main Channel, accessing Russell Island, Long Island, Lagoon Island and Cobby Cobby Island.
